Emily is a native of Eufaula, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Auburn University and her Juris Doctor degree from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University.
At Cumberland, Emily was named to the Dean’s List and served as President of the Public Interest and Community Service organization, Vice-Chair of the Cordell Hull Speakers Forum, and received the Spirit of Service Award for pro bono work. In addition, Emily was also nominated, as a student, to serve on the Pro Bono Task Force Committee of the Alabama State Bar.
Emily is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. She is also a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association and The Junior League of Birmingham.
Emily is married to Jason Curran, a native of Elba, Alabama, and they have one daughter, Lucy. When she is not practicing law, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing tennis, running, traveling, and watching Auburn football.
