Peyton Clark is admitted to practice in Alabama and Tennessee state courts. He is a member of the Alabama Bar Association and Birmingham Bar Association.
Peyton grew up in Brookhaven, Mississippi, and moved to Birmingham in 2013 to attend Birmingham-Southern College. He graduated from BSC in 2017, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Peyton received his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2022.
During his time in law school, Peyton was highly involved in Georgia’s advocacy programs. He competed in many national mock trial tournaments, with the highlight being voted the highest-scoring advocate in the championship round of the 2021 William Daniel Invitational Mock Trial Competition. Peyton also served as the Executive Chair of the Mock Trial Executive Board and President of the Student Chapter of Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and he was selected to be a member of the National Order of Barristers upon graduation.
Peyton first worked for Pittman, Dutton, Hellums, Bradley & Mann P.C. the year before starting law school. During that time, he served as the firm’s receptionist, runner, and researcher, but most importantly, he gained invaluable exposure to the roles that the firm’s attorneys and staff played in representing their clients. Beyond seeing the legal work the firm did to help its clients, Peyton noticed the care and attention the firm put towards cultivating relationships with its clients. Because of that, Pittman, Dutton, Hellums, Bradley & Mann became the number one law firm Peyton wanted to join after law school, and he continued working for the firm throughout law school.
When he’s not working, Peyton enjoys spending time outdoors – particularly hiking, hunting, and fishing. He’s a major fan of baseball with the hope to attend a game at every Major League Baseball stadium. Peyton is also working his way down IMDb’s “Top 100” list of greatest movies, and he’s always happy to get a movie recommendation.
Peyton is married to the former Ashley Mezzanares of Brookhaven, Mississippi. Ashley is a graduate of UAB Nursing School and is now pursuing her doctorate in nurse anesthesia. Peyton, Ashley, and their dog Charlie live in the west Homewood community.
