Austin’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation cases, such as mass torts and class actions, as well as insurer bad faith and fraud, catastrophic personal injury, product liability, and wrongful death cases. Austin is counsel in several consumer protection class actions pending across the country, including cases involving data breaches, violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other statutory violations.
Austin grew up in Florence, AL. He attended college at the University of Alabama on a Presidential scholarship, where he graduated magna cum laude with honors. Austin then earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama. While in law school, Austin practiced law in the school’s Civil Law Clinic and won his first jury trial as a third-year student.
Austin began working as a law clerk for Pittman, Dutton, Hellums, Bradley, and Mann in 2013, and was made an attorney with the firm upon being admitted to practice law in 2015.
