Jon primarily practices in the areas of litigation involving product liability (such as defective medical devices and pharmaceutical drugs), auto and trucking accidents, insurance fraud, bad faith, commercial disputes, general personal injury matters, and mass torts.
Jon was born and raised in Middle Tennessee and attended high school in Florence, Alabama. He attended college at Samford University on a debate scholarship, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005. In 2011, he received his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
At Cumberland, he was named to the Dean’s List and awarded the top grade in Scientific Evidence, Constitutional Law and Mediator Advocacy. Additionally, he was an Executive Trial Board Member for the Cumberland Trial Advocacy Board and competed on the National Arbitration Team and Client Counseling Team.
Jon began working for Pittman, Dutton, Hellums, Bradley & Mann, P.C. as a researcher when he was a senior in college and continued working as a clerk throughout law school.
Jon handles cases not only throughout the State of Alabama, but also throughout the entire Country. He is admitted to practice before the Alabama Supreme Court as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association, Alabama Association for Justice and American Association for Justice.
Jon has received numerous honors and distinctions in the legal community. He has been awarded Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since 2015, and Business Alabama included Jon on its list of Top Attorneys Rising Stars.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and being on the water either boating, skiing, or fishing. He is an avid follower of college and professional football and basketball. Jon is an Eagle Scout and continues to volunteer and support many civic organizations.
Jon is married to the former Abby Milner, a native of Athen, GA, and graduate Samford University.
