AOD Federal Credit Union (AODFCU) has disclosed a significant data breach that may have compromised the sensitive personal and financial information of customers across several states. On or around August 9, 2024, AODFCU discovered that an unauthorized individual had accessed its internal network. The breach was promptly contained, and the credit union launched an investigation with the help of third-party cybersecurity experts. On March 4, 2025, the investigation confirmed that a malicious actor had gained access to and may have acquired confidential customer files during the period of August 8–9, 2024.

In response to the breach, AODFCU is offering complimentary access to Experian IdentityWorks Credit 3B—an identity theft protection service designed to help detect and respond to fraudulent use of personal information. Instructions for enrolling are included in notification letters mailed to affected individuals.
